Title
Clinical and Laboratory implications IN the use of CAD/CAM TECHNOLOGY in
Fixed prosthodontics
Summary
Digital technology provides
frameworks for ceramometal or all-ceramic restorations by the use of CAD/CAM
techniques. Although great improvements have been accomplished in both the
involved hardware and software, various fabrication parameters currently
dictate restrictions and limitations in the broad clinical application of the
technology. These parameters basically concern the supporting frameworks (material
and design), as well as their bond with the veneering materials.
The address will cover various
clinical and laboratory stages where the above parameters influence the
decision making in applying CAD/CAM technology in fixed Prosthodontics.
