Metal-Ceramics versus All-Ceramics: Selection Criteria

Today, numerous types of ceramic materials are available in prosthetic and restorative dentistry sometimes putting the clinicians in question which one to choose for the right indication. Not only the clinicians but also the dental technicians need to master some rules in order to achieve durable and aesthetic results with new all ceramics. In this lecture, the principles during choosing and applying current all ceramics will be discussed and comparisons will be made with the conventional metal-ceramics based on the available evidence.
