Dear colleagues and friends,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is my honour to welcome you at the 15th Congress  of the  Balkan Stomatological Society (BaSS) to be held at "I. Vellidis Congress Centre" in  Thessaloniki, from the 22nd to the 25th of April 2010, hosting the annual meeting of the European College of Gerodontology (ECG).

This event is organized by the Greek delegation of the BaSS with the valuable contribution and support of the Hellenic Dental Association, the Dental Society of Thessaloniki and the Dental Schools of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

The 15th Congress of BaSS, under the theme "Advancing the Art and Science in Dentistry, is dedicated to supporting and promoting an intense multidisciplinary knowledge exchange among the dental professionals in areas that will be the major driving forces for future innovations in dentistry.

Towards these goals, pre and post congress seminars and special limited attendance training courses are also scheduled.

This Congress, aims at achieving our goal of fast pace advancement, transforming the scope of dental sphere and its relation to progressing the field of dental medicine. We certainly hope that the 15th Congress will put forward the visions and aims of BaSS for the future.

Thessaloniki, a Southeastern European metropolis, being Greece's second largest city, is an interesting, busy cultural center, located in the very heart of the Balkan Peninsula. Being a city with  more than 2300 years of history, is an attractive tourist destination which offers the opportunity to all of you to pay a visit to the numerous historical sites and enjoy Thessaloniki's extraordinary scenery throughout the year.

We have the pleasure to invite you all to actively attend the 15th BaSS Congress and to enrich it scientifically by participating in the scientific discussions and workshops.
